Where I Left It, a free MSFS 2024 add-on that remembers where you parked
Developer Yetty has released Where I Left It, a free add-on for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. It remembers where you left your aircraft after a flight and puts it back there next time. It is available on flightsim.to and has already been updated for Sim Update 7.
In MSFS 2024 each flight normally starts fresh at whatever parking spot you pick. Where I Left It adds a sense of continuity: land in Warsaw today, and that’s where the aircraft will be waiting tomorrow. Everything runs from a page on the default EFB (the pilot’s electronic tablet), so there’s no external app to manage.
What’s inside:
- saved and restored parking positions for each aircraft;
- a parked fleet, with your other aircraft sitting cold and dark nearby and the option to switch between them;
- per-aircraft model and livery settings;
- auto-save on a timer or on events, with automatic or manual teleport;
- adjustable spawn and despawn distances for parked aircraft.
According to the developer, parked aircraft are full models without the optimisation AI traffic gets, so a crowded apron can cost you some frame rate.
Who it’s for: anyone flying a career for their own virtual airline, or who likes screenshots with a whole fleet on the stand. For that kind of flying it’s a simple, free way to add realism.
