BlueBird’s Boeing 757 lands in MSFS 2024 on 23 October, 357-page manual out now
BlueBird Simulations will release its Boeing 757 for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 on 23 October. The project has been four years in the making, and ahead of launch the studio has published its full 357-page Master Manual. Price and store have not been announced yet.
According to the developers, parts of the systems logic build on the classic PSS 757-200 and Level-D 767, add-ons many simmers remember from the FS2004 and FSX days. A manual this size suggests a deep systems simulation rather than just a pretty model.
The 757 has long been underserved in flight sims, even though the real aircraft is one of the most recognisable narrowbodies around, with big engines, a short take-off run and enough range for transatlantic flights.
What the manual covers:
- normal procedures from a cold and dark cockpit to shutdown;
- abnormal procedures for system failures;
- supplemental procedures for special conditions;
- sections on ACARS (the datalink to the airline) and the built-in EFB;
- colour-coded notes, with orange and dark red marking the important warnings.
How to get ready: the manual is already available on the BlueBird Simulations Discord (discord.gg/bluebirdsim). Reading it before release day means you can fly a full trip on day one without guesswork.
